Directions for Use:
- Prior to the operation, inspect the Veress Insufflation Needle to ensure that the stylet moving freely in and out of the needle with minimal pressure applied to the stylet.
- Insert the Veress Insufflation Needle into the abdomen with the standard insertion technique. The spring loaded stylet retracts backward while the needle is pushed through the abdominal tissue. When the stylet retracts, an audible "click" will be heard. The stylet then advances forward once the end of the needle exits through anterior wall of the abdomen.
- Check to ensure that the Veress Insufflation Needle is in the abdominal cavity and insufflate to desired pressure.
- Once the desired abdominal pressure is accomplished, stop the insufflation and remove the Veress Insufflation Needle. Please follow instructions provided by the insufflator manufacturer.
- When the endoscopic procedure is complete, dispose this device in accordance with local regulations.
Quick Summary Comparison
Medical Disposables Corp. EndoGuidance Veress/insufflation needles are typical disposable Veress-style needles (spring-loaded stylet, audible/visual indicators, 120/150 mm options, luer/stopcock) and compete directly with Ethicon ENDOPATH, CONMED LaparoLight, Teleflex/Weck and other branded disposable Veress needles — differences are mostly in handle design, indicator style, ancillary stopcock/luer features, and available lengths/gauges.

Quick recommendations (use-case based)
Medical Disposables Corp. EndoGuidance
If you want lowest upfront cost / distributor variety: EndoGuidances’ Veress is comparable and often cost-competitive (good for high-volume purchasing). Check sample/lot labeling and compare sterile packaging and supplier terms.
J&J MedTech
If you want a well-documented OEM product / proven clinical datasheet: Ethicon ENDOPATH models have formal datasheets and are commonly used in ORs; good if procurement requires manufacturer technical files.
CONMED
If clinician preference for visibility/hang-drop testing matters: CONMED LaparoLight highlights a clear handle for the hanging-drop test and an obvious indicator; useful when that verification step is routine.
